The Summit Technology
Services, Inc. Meals On Wheels system module is a fully
comprehensive client nutritional database, route scheduling
and tracking system that interfaces with the main Summit
Aging System or it can be run as a stand-alone system AND
it feeds both the NAPIS and CAARS reporting devices.
Clients
Each client record contains all the
necessary dietary and meal information individually by each
day of the
week
that the client receives meals. It allows for varying meal
and route combinations on different days. Each daily meal
record contains information about the type of meal: regular
vs. diabetic, variation of consistency, type of beverage,
low sodium, low fat, renal, grant, caterer, route and more.
Service can be temporarily
suspended for a client and the system automatically restart
their meals on a specified date. Specific instructions or
helpful information can be entered and printed on the driver's
route sheet.
Routing and Scheduling
The system allows for individual routing
by caterer/subcontractor. Kitchen order sheets are generated
automatically by route. Easy to read Driver Schedules are
printed with directions to homes and totals by the different
meal variations which makes for accurate and efficient packaging
of meals and loading of vehicles. The stop order within
a route for the client's homes is easily maintained by the
users.
Congregate Meals
The MOW system captures and tracks
meal statistics by individual site. Site meal orders show
separately on the kitchen/caterer order sheets.
Reporting
Information that takes hours or days
to compile by hand is available in seconds. The following
is a brief list of the reports that can be generated with
the Summit Meals on Wheels module:
