Must have Hands on research experience in the areas of wastewater
treatment technology including biological and ultrasonic
treatment, and surface derivitization for the purpose of
creating low adhesion surfaces and antimicrobial surfaces.
Specific hands on experience in microbiological enumeration
including plate counts, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
(HPLC), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, ultrasonic disinfection
of water, surface derivitization via organosilane coupling
chemistry, biofilm growth, biofilm adhesion measurement
via application of hydrodynamic shear stress, biofilm qunatification
using protein assays, contact angle analysis of surfaces,
evaluation of antimicrobial capacity of surfaces, and x-ray
