VARIOUS PROJECT ASSIGNMENTS
SUMMARY
Summit Technology Services, Inc. has been involved with several high-tech projects at a fortune 500 company related to LabVIEW, engineering, manufacturing, R&D and measurement systems.
- Built and wrote software for several measurement systems using LabVIEW. These systems performed various reliability tests on optical networking devices. They also characterized the devices to ensure that they passed all qualification criteria prior to being shipped. The software characterized the DSE by measuring the insertion loss, PDL, pixel switching speed, crosstalk, inter-channel attenuation, channel ripple, channel width and chromatic dispersion for each of its channels.
- Pioneered a technique to accurately map the surface of a LCD with 5um resolution (limited by 1550nm laser). Consequently, the tiny defects (called “holes”) present in LCDs could be detected and precisely measured. The software controlled all the measurement equipment for that system and generated a detailed .bmp image file that clearly displayed these holes.
- Created software to test and characterize the WAM (wavelength access module), a 2 input 2 output optical switch.
