Job Description: Facility/Maintenance Engineer
Candidate will have in-depth knowledge and complete understanding of facility systems and be a technical resource for the maintenance team as it relates to all predictive, preventive, and operational maintenance activities. Candidate will be expected to manage capital improvement and construction projects from start to completion; ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with specifications.
• Provides technical recommendations to address equipment and process related issues, including HVAC, boiler, air compressor, chiller, vacuum systems, baghouse, wet scrubbers, controls and power distribution systems, etc…
• Participate in root cause failure analysis and help execute corrective actions for complex and/or recurring problems.
• Monitor equipment/process trends to ensure best possible operation and reduction of unplanned downtime.
• Help establish and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with recommended best maintenance practices
• Support capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design and implementation phases in accordance with plant design requirements and standards.
• Provide inputs on industry trends, innovations, and changes that may improve maintenance and facility operations
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Assist in the training and development of maintenance personnel.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Reliability, or other related field) required from an accredited program, as well as a minimum of 10 years related experience.
• This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad area of assignments.
• Experience working in manufacturing environments, facility, pollution abatement, or maintenance is a plus.
• Previous consulting experience and professional engineering license preferred

Responsible for Precision HVAC Equipment Design within the Glass Melting and Forming Process, ranging from initial concept stage to final design approval and implementation, including fabrication and check-out at vendors, and follow-up to ensure that all quality, cost and safety requirements are met. Day to Day Responsibilities:

•Enclosure design work using accepted good airflow management design principles and HVAC principles

•Review as needed troubleshooting and problem solving exercises for enclosure systems

•Migrate standard enclosure design specifications, qualification documents, and installation practices

•Manage external suppliers of enclosure related equipment in Asia, for detailed technical design or installation work as required.

•Support and provide ownership of enclosures as a process tool

•Lead/Participate in existing facility modification as well as new facility design to ensure design meets the goals of the process requirements.

•Maintain documentation integrity for all systems of responsibility

•Provide the project or task with sound innovative thinking, problem solving skills and customer focus.

•Conceptual design, detailed design, CAD drawing updates, presentation at design reviews, working with other designers and process engineers, interactions with plant sites, technical guidance on equipment, working with vendors on fabrication of equipment, and compliance with department standards and policies.

Travel Requirements: Approximately 75% travel, mainly in Asia.
Travel will be anything from 2 weeks to 2 months at a time, all business travel.

Summit is seeking C/C++/ARM assembly Embedded Software Engineer

1. Work Summary
Perform Requirements Analysis, Design, Development and Testing of embedded software. Candidate will need to follow defined development and process (CMMI-3) standards, including application of architectural standards used in embedded radio product development. Candidate must be willing to rework requirements/code/design based on feedback from other software developers (via requirement/code/design reviews) and develop high-quality work products which are thoroughly unit tested prior to integration.

Help develop and direct software systems testing procedures, programming and documentation. Perform wireless systems integration and testing.
Provide technical support to internal customers.
Execution of software development process in CMMI Level 3 environment.
Perform coding and unit test of resultant software/firmware.
Perform software/firmware component integration.
Identify, track and repair software/firmware defects.

2. Qualifications BSEE, BSCS, BSCE required or equivalent experience.
MS Desirable.
Must have a minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience with embedded firmware.
Must have a strong firmware and DSP development background.
Proficiency with C/C++ and ARM assembly required.
Experience with software emulators/debuggers required.
Proficiency with multi-threaded design and/or real-time operating systems is required.
Experience with various legacy and current VOCODORs, including CVSD, MELP, G.711, and G.729.
Experience with ARM NEON instruction highly desirable
Experience with Telelogic DOORS and SmartBear Code Collaborator helpful.

3. Position Description: Implement VOCORERs in ARM GPPs utilizing C/C++ and ARM NEON instructions, where applicable, to reduce CPU loading. Perform design simulations and capture design specifications.
Apply principles and techniques of software development, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and mathematical analysis to daily tasking.
Analyze requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Consult with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software/firmware with consideration for operational performance requirements of the overall system.
Able to lead a small team through research, design, and development of embedded software/firmware systems, with close interaction with Hardware product development technical team.
Help develop project plans, technical oversight, design, implement, test, and maintain embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment.
